The Prison Murder of Billy Wright "I will not be leaving Ulster, I will not change my mind about what I believe is happening in Ulster. But all I would like to say is that it has broken my heart to think that fellow loyalists would turn their guns on me, and I have to ask them for whom are you doing it?" Why, in direct contravention of the normal procedures, was the prison officer in the watchtower overlooking the scene of the murder ordered out of the tower that morning, just before Billy Wright was shot and why is the identity of the person who gave that order being kept secret? Who give the Order?

Why he was murdered with Government collusion must be investigated. As we have seen what the custodians of law and order do when left to their own devices in Iraq and the suffering they caused to their captives even ignoring the Geneva Convention as they stripped them of all their rights. In a democratic country the law of the land must also be obey by the Government of the day as well as the subjects and citizens of the country. No one is entitled to take the law into their own hands. As democrats we all must observe the law of the land and obey the democratic decision.
